The Player is Shinns very hi performance twintip, dedicated to freestyle. It excels in all types of riding style, but focuses on aggressive high speed pop and power moves. It has been given outstanding  edge grip which is one of the keys to a good freestyle board. To be able to hold as much powere down as possible before releasing an edge. The board has some unqiue technology that only a handful of board manufacturers use. This is what give it such great performance. Moderate flex in the Tips and on the heel edge. A perfect board for Huge boosts, Megaloops and Park n Pop riding.

G10 Fins

All Shinn twin tips are supplied with high visibility G10 fins and deck protection plates. Shaped exclusively for us from G10 Epoxy (for unsurpassed durability), this 53mm shape provides exceptional grip for it's size whilst still offering great manoeuvrability.

Pads

Shinn Pads for 2010 use the special EVA Memory Foam, which is a moderate density foam which cousions landing but also doesn't loose the feel of the board. The Memory Foam also moulds to the riders foot position after a few rides which gives it an individual feel to the rider.

 Deck

Conventional freestyle boards rely on straight outlines through the tail section of the board to achieve good edge grip but sacrifice carving ability along the way - something that's essential to achieving good pop if you ride with your kite low.By extending the central rocker flat and increasing the radius through the tail Shinn Kiteboarding have created a platform that still exhibits supreme levels of grip on the rail but also allows them to expand the surface area in the tip and tail making hard carving and hence aggressive pop possible. As with all Shinn boards, The Player features a central concave washing out to flat areas in the tips to provide both earlier planning and extra flex control.
