The Rally is the new Delta style kite form slingshot, which has been designed to be the kite for all conditions for all riders. With Tuneable bar pressure and turning speed, the four line Delta style kite is easily adjusted to suit the rider or variable conditions. The Rally has a “pivot turn” with almost 100% shut off depower, meaning it has the potential to be one of the wave tools of the decade. The kite has short bridal, no pulleys and no Y bridals of 5^th lines what are often associated with Delta kites which normally contradict their wave performance. A rollover in the waves is now not such a catastrophic issue, as the straight four line setup means the kite is easily relaunched in the surf whilst reducing the risk of a bridal tangle. As a result, the Rally has one of the quickest, most reliable relaunches on the market.

Power delivery is readily available and the Rally delivers the greatest low down power of any grunt slingshot has ever produced making it an ideal choice for heavier riders. Yet power is easily controlled and tuned with the bar throw that comes with the comp stick kite boar from slingshot. The Rally is remarkably unwavering, and predictable on all weather conditions. Kiteitright Rally Review

If we put the Rally in to a category, it would most certainly come under “Delta” looking at the shape of it, and after spending an hour on the kite that’s certainly how it felt. Like most Deltas they provide a very high level of performance that is easily accessible to every rider out there, and particularly free riders who don’t want to mess around trying to learn to back mobes.

Despite this, I still really enjoyed using the kite for freestyle.  Even though categorically it sits more within the free ride

/wave ride than freestyle, it still has remarkable pop, more than my 11m Fuel, which to be frank, felt tame after I had unleashed my edge behind the Rally.

 For freestyle the shape and design makes it a bit woolly on the bar to satisfy the high performance end of the market as it turns on a sixpence, and doesn’t  pull throughout the turn, The Rpm and Fuel have more progressive bar feedback for that.

Free riders will love this kite. There is so much lift and boost available with such minimal effort

Do a transition and the thing lifts you so high so easily... it feels marvellous. I spent all day on a 12m swapping with an 11m fuel. The Rally has massive power on tap that the fuel cannot match.  One small stroke of the kite, generates enough to plain, even in light winds. As a result heavier riders will love with this kite.  It has the low down power to make any light wind session feel fantastic, without having to work the kite.

For Wave-riders, it should be a dream. Rolling in the wave should not be such an issue with the 800lb front lines and direct line connections, no complicated bridles that hinder re-launch after the kite has rolled over.

But by far the best feature about this kite is the simplicity and bar setup which is by far my favourite of any of the Delta kites.

A true delta kite is a tool that has been designed to work mainly in the waves and in the hands of beginners. As a result an uncluttered simple bar system is vital, as a precaution for getting rolled in the waves etc.

The majority of Deltas currently on the market come with either some sort of bridal system or Y in the line setup, which is almost contradictory to the nature of its purpose. As a result of the Rally's uncomplicated system, this kite will be a much loved kite for the waves, and/or safe progression for an entry level kiter.  Hassle free kiting Relaunch is effortless, and no matter how you crash it, the swept back tips almost for the kite into a launch ready position before you have even surfaced from your face plant.
