The Tyrant is the Top end freeride board for riders to demand the most extreme performance from their board in the surf. The Tyrant is a short board with dome deck and single concave which slowly evens out in the tail of the board. This gives the rider incredible control over board speed. The 6’2 deck comes with carbon rails with extreme durability. The Slingshot Tyrant 6’2” has a smooth blend of curve, bottom contour (single/double concave) and outlines that give clean a  release. The Carbon rails, deliver huge feedback and response feel which spring when loading and unloading. The most precise high performance wave shredder of them all, designed for the more advanced rider. The Tyrant comes with the Fastrack system, which enable easy board stance customization.

WVS

Slingshots Wood Veneer sandwich construction is made up a very technically advanced layer construction. Older style wave boards use a cheaper standard epoxy resin with polyester. As a result they offer huge advantages in strength durability and also reduce environmental impact by avoiding the highly toxic polyester resin.

They start with a light weight core, and build around it with a layer of light weight fibre glass. This is then bonded to the more dense wood layer.

The final stage of the construction process is when the superior epoxy resin in bonded. Slingshot use vacuum bagging techniques to maximise bonding.

The result is the proven lighter, stronger sandwich construction.
